All completed repairs come with a 3 Month Parts and labour guarantee on work carried out and are repaired by our fully qualified service engineers. We are also able to call you before our engineer arrives. It a good idea before booking your service callout to make sure that we do cover your area. On the day of your appliance repair you are able to ring us and we will give you a 2 hour time slot on when our engineer will call. We are also able to give you a call 30 minutes before we arrive to let you know that our repair engineer in on their way to repair your appliance. We can normally call out to you to repair your appliance within 48 hours on when the fault is first reported to us for repair.

Hitchin has seen a large amount of housing development over the past forty years mainly due to the excellent rail link to London. However there are many areas of historical and environmental interest amongst which are the 12th century Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul, the Mill, Hitchin Manor - now a hotel, the Moor, once a source of peat for villagers and the Manor Park, originally part of the Manor estate in the ownership of the Brooks family but now owned by the Town Council for the pleasure and use of the community. This photograph was taken during the Hitchin Carnival Parade on 11th June 2016. Hitchin Town Council own and manage the Rufus Centre. Extra support and information for people with memory problems, their carers and families is on offer in Hitchin. The town's Dementia Information Point will provide emotional and practical support through a variety of ways including a guide to the various services provided locally by the Society and a chance to talk to others who may be in a similar situation. The Dementia Information Points will be held at Hitchin Library in Coniston Road on the second and the fourth Thursdays of the month from 2-4pm. In addition, a one-to-one meeting can be provided if required. All cases are dealt with confidentially as per Alzheimer's Society policy and procedures. Further support for those in early to moderate stages of dementia and their carer is also on offer every week in Hitchin thanks to the stimulating Singing for the Brain group activities. Our principle function is to provide Educational Grants and Relief in Need to any Hitchin resident. Hitchin Town Council have various volunteering opportunities available for the community to assist with local projects. We are currently looking for volunteer support on the following: Youth Club - to assist with the delivery of the weekly youth club for 9-13 year olds. Will include setting up and engaging with young people. Men’s Club - to assist with the delivery of this weekly club for over 65s. Members enjoy activities such as snooker, darts, dominos and trips. Good Neighbour Scheme - a valuable service providing transport and support for those in need. Driver volunteers and call handler needed. The above opportunities can be very rewarding.
